Worship and Music
Worship
Schedule
Our 8:30 a.m. Early Service is held in our chapel. It is essentially
a "Reader's Digest© Condensed" version of worship--abbreviated
and informal, but with all of the major features of a the full
worship service. It includes a prayer of confession, a sermon,
an affirmation
of faith, and a couple of hymns. We also serve communion each week
at the Early Service.
Our 10:30 a.m. Worship Service is a very traditional Presbyterian
service, with a focus on liturgy, scripture readings, the sermon,
and prayer. This service also includes the musical offerings of a
very dedicated and talented Sanctuary Choir and other musicians.
Communion is served at least once a month at this service.
Additional Worship opportunities are made available throughout the
year. Please check our newsletter, The Tower, for the most up to
date information.

Music
Our choral program consists of five choirs and encompasses ages 3
to 70-ish. Four of these groups are directed by faithful and talented
volunteers: Anita Selters, Sharon Stern, and Sherry Johnson. Our
church is especially fortunate to have such a capable and dedicated
group of leaders. The choirs are Melody Makers (ages 3-6), Joyful
Notes (grades 2-6), Youth Choir (grades 7-12), and Common Souls
(adult women). The Chancel Choir, the loyal group which sings for
all our worship services, will also participate in the program.
Jan Bodine and Becky Ward, music staff, work with that choir.
There are two handbell ensembles. The St. Sidonius Choir is for
those who have no bell ringing experience; the St. Cecilia Choir
is for the more advanced ringers.
