Sudderth offering For Medical Missions

The third Sunday of each month is Sudderth Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Waco. The funds raised through Sudderth Sunday giving go to support the Christian Medical Institute of Kasai (IMCK). Founded by Presbyterian missionaries in 1954, IMCK provides medical and educational services in the Kasai province of the Congo. IMCK is administered by board members representing Congo Presbyterian Church, Congo Mennonite Church, the Presbyterian Church USA, and Congo DRC government staff.

Our support for IMCK honors the ongoing Presbyterian missionary work in the region and the life of Amelia Sudderth, who was born in Luebo, Belgian Congo, in 1938 to Presbyterian medical missionaries.
