Marriages
Weddings are such a joyous time. First Presbyterian is a beautiful space in which non-member weddings may be held. Please note, our pastors are the officiants of all weddings that happen at First Presbyterian.
Funerals and Memorial Services
Honoring a human life, set in motion by God is one of our greatest privileges. From the sanctuary or chapel to the columbarium or one of our lovely local cemeteries, each memorial service is a unique and personal celebration.
Child Protection Policy
So much of church life involves family and children. All of our volunteers and staff members sign a child protection policy.
The Reality of Racism

Sexual Misconduct & Harassment
Responsibility within our relationships is important. First Presbyterian strives to provide a safe environment for members and friends.
Technology and Cyber Security
First Presbyterian uses technology for connection and communication. We care about the security of our platforms and practices. We work with Heart of Texas Network Consultants for the integrity of our equipment, software and security. Staff members sign this policy. (Policy Pending)
Integrity of Officers and Staff
Identifying where we may be vulnerable in our decision making is an important part of leading a church with strength and integrity. This policy is signed by staff and officers.
Segregation of Duties
Teamwork is important at First Presbyterian. We support each other in teamwork by holding each other accountable in best practices particularly as they relate to finances. Staff members, church officers and ordained leadership sign this policy. (policy pending)

Operations and Handbooks
Those who are employed and who lead at First Presbyterian are guided by Scripture and our PCUSA Constitution. They are also guided by a Manual of Operations, Financial Policy and Procedures Manual and Personnel Handbook. Officers and volunteers are guided by Session, Diaconate and Sanctuary Guild handbooks . These policies are for internal use and not listed here.
