Worship 8:30 and 10:30
Child care is available for worshippers between 8 a.m. and Noon each Sunday. Please note we use a security check in system for the wellbeing of your family.
8:30 worship is in the main sanctuary. Piano music from the sanctuary Grand piano accompanies our worship experience. Communion is celebrated each week and all are welcome to partake. This growing service is streamlined. It is available every week in real time on zoom as well.
10:30 Worship is in the main sanctuary. Organ and choral leadership set the musical tone. Communion is celebrated once a month except in January. This service is available every week in real time on zoom.
Getting into the Building
Parking Lots
1st Presbyterian sits at the corner of 11th and Austin. We enjoy two parking lots. One is on Austin Avenue across the street from the church. The second parking lot is on 11th and Franklin. The Franklin lot is the way to access the office, just up the stairs.
Accessibility
Our accessible entrance is along 11th street where street parking is set aside each Sunday for accessibility. A wheel chair ramp is proximate to the sanctuary.

Our Congregational Culture
There are many styles of worship. At First Presbyterian, our worship style, generally, is a traditional
reformed service with liturgy, confession and classic Christian hymnody. Even with our traditional
emphasis, we believe that relevant worship in the 21st century provides space for congregants and
visitors to do integrative spiritual work. By this, we mean that our daily experiences inform and affect
our theology and vice versa. In worship at First Presbyterian, we are striving to integrate experience
and theology so that we feel responsive and genuine in our faith as we live our daily lives.
We welcome you, as you are, to
each worship service at First Presbyterian. Integrative work is not easy. It is not always comfortable,
but it is essential to a vital church.
